Curriculum Overview

 

All subjects studied in our school are based on Biblical Christian principles and qualities of life that are of excellent
character building and of universal benefit to our society.

 

Some examples of such qualities are:

  • Perseverance
  • Industriousness

   SCCHS uses the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum. 
  The curriculum includes Math, English, Social Studies, Science and Electives.

  ACE New Zealand accredited Academic Certificates
     • Year 11 or Form 5 Certificate - Level 1 minimum 34 credits
     • Year 12 or Form 6 Certificate - Level 2 minimum 46 credits
     • Year 13 or Form 7 Certificate - Level 3 minimum 58 credits
     

    Credits are points gained towards a certificate level after a student has:
      1. Completed 12 PACEs of a high school course
      2. Demonstrated mastery of subject material with a minimum pass of 88% in each unit test.
                                                         
   Recognition of ACE Certificates
   Our graduates have gained entry to the following tertiary institutions:
     • The University of the South Pacific (Foundation & Degree Programs)
     • Central Queensland University (Fiji International Cam
     • Fiji National University
     • New Zealand Pacific Training Center
     • Ardmore Flying School in New Zealand
     • Beauty Therapy College of New Zealand   
     • Fiji School of Medicine
            
  Students with ACE Certificates have gained entrance to institutions of higher learning overseas. This includes Harvard
  University (USA), Oxford University (England), Otago University (NZ), Auckland University (NZ), Bob Jones University (USA).
